Twin Birch cottage is a wonderful spot for your family or a group of friends looking for the perfect home to enjoy all that the Leelanau Peninsula has to offer. This spacious house, set on North Lake Leelanau, has 153 feet of lake shore and provides you with everything necessary for the perfect vacation. Gardens, decks and outdoor living areas deliver a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere where views of the lake provoke the anticipation of glorious sunsets. Bring your own boat or rent one! It is a two minute walk from the cottage to the park’s public access where you’ll find a public boat launch. There is also a permanent mooring for windy days and dock side tie up for calm days. The depth of the water at the end of the dock is about 4 foot. The shoreline is just a couple of inches deep. Beautiful sand bottom lake, perfect for swimming.
This family home has everything you need for your stay. Meal preparation is easy in our spacious kitchen or on the Weber propane grill. If you prefer lakeside grilling, we have a great camp charcoal grill steps from the lower level deck. Internet access and wi-fi are available. Three of the home’s four bedrooms have direct access to the lake. The master bedroom, with a queen bed is located on the main floor. Queen beds furnish two of the lower level bedrooms and a twin trundle furnishes the third. A crib and port-a-crib are available upon request.
If you’re looking for a little action after a day of playing and relaxing on the lake, take a short drive or boat ride to Leland where you’ll enjoy hunting for Petosky stones on Lake Michigan’s beautiful white sand beach, strolling through the shops in downtown Leland, or taking in the picturesque sights in Historic Fishtown. There is plenty to interest everyone in your group with unique shopping, great restaurants, art galleries, a village grocery store, library, and much more.
The cottage’s central location provides the perfect base for exploring along one of Michigan’s Scenic Byways, M-22. Nearby attractions include the exhilarating dune climb at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, the Grand Traverse Lighthouses, numerous award winning wineries, and the quaint villages of Glen Arbor, Suttons Bay and Northport. If you are a biker, this is the perfect base to enjoy a ride around beautiful Lake Leelanau on the wide shoulders and bike lanes. If you’re a golfer, our cottage is a wonderful home base to the area’s spectacular golf courses.
Our beautiful lakefront home is located on the shores of North Lake Leelanau. Numerous wineries and vineyards are in close proximity, and the East Leland public access is only a a two minute walk from home for easy boat launch.
The Leelanau Peninsula is truly a year around get-away with spectacular autumn colors and many summer and winter activities. Come experience the perfect spot to enjoy a vacation and build family memories in the ‘Land of Delight’! Twin Birch is Pure Michigan at it’s best.

Great location & Beautiful home with perfect views! Will be a yearly rental for us!
Our group was so happy with this rental property! The pictures did not do this house & location justice. We immediately decided that this rental would be a yearly trip for us since we loved the view and location so much. There was 7 of us and we all had enough room to spread out but plenty of seating, comfortable areas to accommodate all 7 of us. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could think of. The bedrooms were all very tidy and it was a plus that 3 out of the 4 bedrooms had direct access to the decks/water. We had amazing sunsets every night on the upper deck. This beautiful home set the tone for an amazing vacation and we could have not been happier with our stay. There was even a marriage proposal on site! I would reccomend this rental to anyone. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Fabulous lake retreat
Our family felt an acute need to get out of the city after sheltering in place for so long. This has been the perfect retreat. The views are fantastic, the deck area is so clean and beautiful with new furniture. The paddle boat is very fun for our small young family. Looking forward to coming back.

The stay at Twin Birch was wonderful. The accommodations were excellent and the location on the water with trees with fantastic Fall colors was special.
The owners went out of their way to assure our comfort. Their love and stewardship of the property was evident. Thank you for providing us with some great memories and good times.

Twin Birch was a great place for a quick weekend getaway! It is a perfect location, with being so close to Leland and Suttons Bay. And the views from the deck were so beautiful!
The property manager replied to emails promptly and was very helpful.

I'm torn! I want to tell everyone I know about this place - this precious gem, but I also want to keep it my own little secret! Twin Birch is truly a home that makes its visitors forget about everything! It is cozy, yet spacious, and offers the most stunning views of a pristine lake. You get to witness the most magical sunsets, and are nestled between Lake Michigan and Lake Leelanau. The home is close to Fishtown and Leland Harbor, as well as many fantastic wineries and vineyards. The home was clean, inviting, and just what we needed for our family vacation. I won't hesitate going back, and can't wait to plan our trip for next year already!
